Farndale will be holding a ‘Big Do’ on Saturday 4th June on the Showfield and in the Village Hall. It will begin from about 1.30pm with children’s races and games, and also for adults too – with welly wanging, tug of war etc, followed by a huge community tea at around 5.00pm. There will be displays by local groups, some fun activities and competitions going on including ‘Pudding fit for a Queen’ and others!! There will also be a duck race and raffle. Everyone is invited to attend what we hope will be a fantastic day.
There was an open meeting held in the Feversham Arms in March to discuss ideas put forward for the Farndale Jubilee Celebrations. The main event will be held on Saturday 4th June on the Showfield and the Village Hall and will comprise games such as welly wanging, races, tug of war etc, followed by a huge community tea, with displays by local groups, other activities and a duck race. Everyone is invited to attend what we hope will be a fantastic day. It is being organised by a small group of volunteers.
Clubbercise classes in the Hall over the last few months have proved popular – so after a week’s break there will be another block of six classes running. These are weekly at 6.15pm on Wednesdays, starting again from Wednesday 2nd March.
