Phil’s talk on his early farming life in Bransdale and Farndale was a huge success!! The hall was almost full, and everyone enjoyed a good talk, cuppa and plenty of cake! The evening also raised around £500 all in aid of St Mary’s Church in Farndale. Thanks to everyone who came along, and the helpers.
The Tea & Cake Day raised an amazing £558.80 for Marie Curie – thanks to everyone who baked, came and helped, and came and ate cake!! Also for the craft group who also had a stall selling items they had made, with all proceeds again to Marie Curie.
After six monthly dominoes through the winter, we have an overall winner….. Andy Fawbert!
Well done Andy!!
The Farndale and Friends Walking Group had a lovely walk up from Church Houses, up Monket Bank and across the moor. Everyone stopped for a picnic and a look at the view down the dale before coming back down via Horn End and back to the Village Hall for a cuppa and to discuss the next walks.
The walk planned for Saturday 19th Feb is cancelled because of the bad weather. The next walk is on Sunday 6th March, meet 11.45am at the Village Hall.
There will be a drop-in event on Monday 14th February for you to have your say and give your opinions relating to the new Farndale Parish Plan. Call into the Village Hall between 3.00pm and 7.00pm for a chat and a cuppa!
Let’s hope that 2022 is a better year all round. Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy 2022.
