Farndale Community Library
The Library in the Village Hall is for the whole community to use and the shelves are full!
There are different sections for novels, thrillers, hardbacks, autobiographies, classics, children’s, and books covering subjects like gardening, crafts, cooking etc. We also now some DVDs, jigsaws, and a few audio books available to borrow.
When you borrow or bring something back, please just note it in the Library Book on the shelf.
You can borrow/return books at any Village Hall events – just make a note in the Library Book of what you’ve borrowed/returned. Please put any books that you are returning in the Returns Box so that they can be sorted and put back.
Thanks to everyone who has donated to the library over the years – and if anyone has more books, DVDs etc that they’d like to give, they would be gratefully received. We usually rotate them, or sell off any surplus, older or duplicate copies at our Spring Book & Cake Sale.
We have a monthly tea & cake & chat library session – this is usually on the first Monday of each month between 2.00-3.30pm. (In June this will be the second Monday of the month as we will be celebrating the Jubilee with a busy weekend the first weekend of June)
No specific cost – Suggested donation of £1.
Next dates are:
Monday 13th June
Monday 4th July
Monday 1st August
Come along if you fancy it, everyone is welcome!
