Women’s Institute

Nationally, the Women’s Institute has been inspiring women for more than 100 years.

A group of women first set up Farndale’s Women’s Institute in 1932 and it is still going strong after all those years!  Originally meeting at the School House in Farndale, when the first Village Hall was established it moved there, and now meets at the new Hall.

Farndale’s Women’s Institute operates on similar lines to other WI groups – a monthly meeting, with speakers of interest, particular topics to discuss, and always supper and cake!

The WI stopped meeting during the pandemic, and members were pleased that the get-togethers were be back up and running from September 2021.

The group meets on the third Thursday each month at 7.30pm.

Next dates are:

Thursday 20th June

Thursday 18th July – open meeting

Thursday 15th August

Thursday 19th September

New members are welcomed – for information about how to join or if you would like to come along sometime, please contact Jenny via email
